One of the reviewers commented that she had waited two long years for the next Matt Redman album, but she was very happy with this album and felt that it was well worth the time she spent waiting. She commended the artist’s deep and Scriptural lyrics as well as his passionate rendition of the vocals. She liked the edgier new sound from the artist, with many moving songs that were found to be simple yet passionate. She also commended the strings and piano accompaniment for being great and “sensitive.” She also liked reading the stories about how the songs came about, which she found on Matt Redman’s website. Another buyer shared how he learned of Matt Redman through some guys at his church, and although he had initially been skeptical about buying a worship CD, he was happy that he listened to his senior pastor’s recommendation of getting this album. He described the album as entirely shining with God’s glory, as he found that Redman had put much thought into the lyrics of the songs in this album. He especially loved “Yes and Amen,” and “A Greater Song.” Other buyers also complimented Matt Redman for a job well done, and for being a very humble yet challenging songwriter. One of them described Matt Redman as a deep and very spiritual artist that gave a nice balance between catchy melodies and thoughtful lyrics, along with an excellent production.
One of the reviewers who weren’t too happy with the album commented that many of the songs, at almost half, had already been released previously. However, another buyer corrected her saying that only three of them had already been found on other CDs. Another comment for this album came about when a reviewer compared it with past works of the artist, which he believed were more memorable than the ones on this album. He also added that Matt Redman was best in live worship compared to studio recordings, but conceded that this was sill a solid worship album that was worth adding into anyone’s collection.
